Anyone who dedicates time, effort and energy to unlocking the potential in others is a leader.

Leadership is not a job title.

It’s not a seat at the board table and it certainly isn’t a corner office. It’s how you behave, how you inspire, and how you leave people feeling.

Leadership is a muscle we can all train.

Whether or not we’re born with a natural tendency towards leadership, it’s a skill that can be developed and honed. And as such, you can choose to lead at any time in your career.

Leaders create disproportionate impact.

You must be conscious of the effect you have on the wellbeing, culture and performance of your team. And remember that however talented you are, without strong leadership skills you can only affect so much.

I will help you channel your excellence into others, unlocking their potential to achieve. Together, we can…

Define your values and lead true to them. Here are mine.

Over the course of my career, I’ve been led well and led poorly. As a result I’ve developed my own leadership style, which I now apply to the way in which I coach, underpinned by four core values:

I believe the bedrock of any relationship or successful team is trust. Good leaders earn that trust when they hold themselves accountable, and behave in a way that’s fair, generous, clear and consistent.

I believe the best leaders acknowledge we’re all wired differently, and develop emotional intelligence to empathise and communicate with others, consciously adapting their style to the personality of each team member.

I believe the best leaders draw on past experience to better trust their gut instinct, intuitively knowing when to act and what to prioritise in a way that best achieves the desired outcome.

I believe the best leaders recognise their ability to inspire, playing to their strengths and being confident enough to show vulnerability with their teams, fostering that crucial sense of trust.

How we’ll work together.

Think of me as the personal trainer for your professional life. Always in your corner, I will help you overcome your obstacles, identify your goals and strategise a way to achieve them. Together, we’ll unpack, explore and navigate any changes, challenges or opportunities you are facing in your career.

I create a safe, confidential space where messiness and vulnerability is not only permitted, but encouraged. That being said, I will question, provoke, and challenge you as appropriate, holding you accountable and pushing you to get the most out of our sessions.

After an initial 45 minute chemistry meeting, we’ll structure a coaching programme that’s tailored to you, in blocks of 4 x 90 or 6 x 90 minute sessions at a time. We can work flexibly around your schedule, meeting either virtually or in person.

Here’s a little about me.

I’m Jen, and I’ve always been fascinated by the psychology of leadership, even before I began my career at Bloomberg in the City, before I moved into advertising and long before I formalised my training with the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC).

A firm believer in the power of creativity to solve any business problem, I have first-hand experience leading high performing, happy and successful teams at some of the most creatively-awarded ad agencies in the world. These include AMV BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and Droga5, working with clients such as Brewdog, Mars, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Mercedes Benz, Amazon and some of the world’s largest banks.

During the course of my career, clients and agencies changed, but what remained consistent was my passion for developing the people I worked alongside. My greatest achievements in advertising weren’t the industry awards or client accounts won, but the teams I helped grow in confidence, ability and success.

Now, as a fully AOEC-accredited coach conforming with the ICF code of ethics, I’m on a mission to unlock the leadership potential in others, leveraging my experience in the corporate world for the benefit of my coachees. I am an Associate of Alison Chadwick, leading Executive Coach for the creative industries, working with her to spread the philosophy that leaders are made not born, and helping the coachees we work with to create the optimum conditions for their teams to innovate and flourish without fear.
